Chronic Illness Support Circle

Your Body Is Not the Enemy
Welcome 🤍
I’m so glad you've found your way here.
If it feels okay, you’re welcome to take one slow breath with me. There’s no pressure to decide anything quickly.
Let this be a gentle invitation to see whether this Circle could support you as you navigate chronic illness and the emotional weight that can come with it.
This is a place to be held—without having to hold it all together. I created this Circle as a monthly, trauma-informed support circle for women living with chronic illness, emotional pain, and body-based stress—
offering nervous system support, art-therapeutic integration, and evidence-informed tools—
so you can feel less alone and nurture a kinder relationship with your body.
Replays included.
No pressure to share in our
Private Online Community
for ongoing Support between monthly sessions.

If it feels okay,
take one slow breath with me.
Let your shoulders drop a fraction. Let your jaw soften. Nothing to force—just a small return to yourself.
If something in you softened—even slightly—you’re not imagining that.
This is what can happen when we stop relating to ourselves through force and begin relating through presence instead.
What this Circle is.
This is a monthly guided group experience for women navigating chronic illness and body-based overwhelm alongside a trauma history.
-
A gentle, structured monthly rhythm of support (2 hours live + replay)
-
A trauma-informed space that includes the nervous system and the body
-
A place to process and integrate what chronic illness brings up emotionally—without pressure
-
Practical, evidence-informed tools you can return to on flare days and hard weeks
-
Creative integration (art + music-supported practices) to help you feel steadier inside
-
A community where you can be real, private, and unforced (sharing is always optional)
-
A private, off‑social community space for gentle support between sessions (sharing is always optional)
-
It’s not about fixing yourself.
-
It’s not about overriding your experience.
-
It’s not about pushing through.
-
It’s about learning how to be in a different relationship with what’s happening inside you—one that is slower, more supported, and less alone.
Chronic and invisible illness can be deeply isolating.
This Circle offers real community and support without you having to leave your safe place, push your body past its limits, or risk the outside world on a hard day.
What inspired this Circle...
I created the Chronic Illness Support Circle because I know how isolating chronic and invisible illness can be.
I’ve lived with autoimmune illness for 22 years (Graves’ disease) and cancer for 6. Over time, I’ve seen how much emotional weight people carry alongside symptoms—fear, grief, exhaustion, and the quiet loneliness of having to manage so much behind the scenes.
For many women, chronic illness can also trigger a kind of betrayal response—when your body no longer behaves the way you expect, it can bring up grief, fear, anger, and a deep sense of “I can’t trust myself.”
Over the past 8+ years of supporting clients, I’ve also noticed how many women navigating trauma histories are also navigating chronic illness. In our work together, we’ve practiced evidence-informed tools that support nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and a kinder relationship with the body—alongside medical care and other treatments.
This Circle exists to offer compassionate support, community, and practical self-healing tools—without requiring you to leave your room or push past what your body can handle.
This Circle is for you if…
-
You’re a woman living with chronic or invisible illness and you feel isolated, misunderstood, or tired of carrying it alone
-
Your body feels unpredictable and it’s impacting your sense of safety, trust, or steadiness
-
You want trauma-informed support that includes the nervous system (not just mindset)
-
You want gentle structure, art-therapeutic integration, and evidence-informed tools you can actually use

This may not be the right fit if…
-
You’re in active crisis and need immediate clinical or emergency support
-
You’re looking for medical treatment/diagnosis or psychotherapy
(this Circle is supportive and educational, not clinical care)

Facilitated by Jewelle Boldt Zehr
Certified Trauma-Informed Coach | Certified Art Life Coach | Certified RIM® Facilitator
This Circle is shaped by both professional practice and lived experience of chronic illness. For a long time, I learned to function on the outside while feeling unsafe inside my own body. What began to change things wasn’t forcing my body to cooperate—it was changing how I related to it.
For 8+ years, I’ve supported trauma survivors using both lived experience and evidence-informed approaches, including RIM® (Regenerating Images in Memory).
My work is nervous-system-friendly, grounded in compassion, and centered on building inner safety—not force.
You don't have to carry this alone anymore.
Important note
This Circle is supportive and educational. It is not medical care or psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat illness. Please continue working with your licensed providers for medical and mental health care.
