Your Body Already Knows How to Feel Safe Again. This Is How You Remind It.
A 7-day guided practice for women who’ve done the gratitude lists, the journaling, the “count your blessings” — and felt nothing change.
No toxic positivity. No forcing feelings you don’t have.
You’ve tried gratitude before.
Maybe a journal. Maybe an app. Maybe someone well-meaning told you to just “focus on the good” — and you tried, and it felt hollow, like reciting something true without ever actually feeling it land.
That’s not a flaw in you. That’s a flaw in how gratitude is usually taught.
Gratitude isn’t a thought. It’s a felt experience — and if your nervous system is still scanning for threat, no amount of listing what you’re thankful for will reach the part of you that needs to feel safe first.
This is why it hasn’t worked. Not because you didn’t try hard enough.
What It Is
THE GRATITUDE WALK — A 7-Day Guided Practice — $17
Ten minutes a day. One walk. One simple pairing of movement and noticing that does what journaling alone cannot.
This isn’t a gratitude journal with extra steps. It’s a body-based practice that uses bilateral movement — the same left-right rhythm used in EMDR — paired with intentional noticing, to create a real, physical shift in how safe your nervous system feels.
The Science in Plain Language
When you walk in a steady left-right rhythm while gently noticing something true and good, two things happen in your nervous system at once:
• The bilateral movement engages both hemispheres of your brain — the same mechanism therapists use in EMDR to help process and integrate difficult material.
• The noticing gives your nervous system real, physical evidence of safety — not a thought about safety, a felt one.
Together, they bypass the part of your mind that overthinks gratitude and speak directly to the part of you that’s still bracing.
This is nervous system science. It just happens to look like a walk.
This Is For You If
• You’ve tried gratitude practices before and they felt hollow or performative
• You did the Beauty Hunt and felt something shift — and want to keep building on it
• You’re someone who thinks well but still feels braced in your body
• You want something that takes minutes, not an hour you don’t have
• You’re skeptical that “just walking” could do anything — especially if that’s you
What's Inside
• The science behind why this works — in plain, honest language
• The exact bilateral walking practice, step by step
• 7 days of guided prompts, one for each day
• A simple way to track the shift as it happens
• A gentle bridge into what comes next, when you’re ready
By day 7, most women notice the same thing: gratitude stops being something they have to manufacture, and starts being something they simply notice is already there.
Not because they tried harder. Because their body finally believed it was safe enough to feel it.
Origin Note
I didn’t build this from a textbook. I built it on my own hardest mornings, when I needed to move and I needed something true to hold onto, and sitting still with a journal wasn’t enough.
The walking did something the writing alone never had. It’s been one of the most reliable tools in my own healing since — and now in the work I do with clients.
THE INVESTMENT — The Gratitude Walk — Seven Days. Ten Minutes.
A Body That Believes It’s Safe. — $17
Less than a coffee a day for a week. And it works in the time it takes to walk around the block.
P.S. — If you’ve already done the Beauty Hunt, your nervous system has already started learning to notice safety. The Gratitude Walk is the natural next step — it takes that noticing and gives it a rhythm your body can carry forward. And if your mind tends to get loud at night, the Thought Purge is what comes after this.
